Book Summary

The world is dying. The plants are gone, animals are all dead.  The few remaining survivors have resorted to robbery and cannibalism.  This is a story of a man and his son. The man from the old, dead world.  The son who knew nothing but that world's corpse.  The only thing that keeps them going is the other.  Each the other's world entire, they wander the dead lands formerly known as America.  They wander the ruins of the old world, eating scraps and garbage.  They scavenge old houses that became tombs for their previous owners.  They avoid other people, who would kill and cook them.  Their only goal is to live to the next day with the other alive.
